Nigerian Dwarfs, Nubian, Miniature Alpine and American Oberhasli Goats.
Best Friends Ranch LLC, breeds a variety of goats. Our smallest is the Nigerian Dwarfs, these goats are small about the size of a Pygmy Goat, but have a lot more variety in colors.
Nigerians are small little goats, the bucks average around 24" tall and the does average about 22" tall. You can milk the does and get an average of a pint of milk per day from each doe. These goats are trainable and make great pets and even for 4-H for your children. They are sooooooo cute.
We also just started on some different types of goats as of June 7, 2009. We now have a doe, that is part Nubian/Boer (Casey).
We have a little doeling that is part Nigerian and part Miniature Alpine (Echo) She had a buckling and doeling born on Feb. 26,2010.
We have a doe that is an American Oberhasli (Ricka)with her little niece (Fire Fox). The 2 Oberhasli's are currently for sale. Great for milking, they can produce up to a gallon of milk a day.
